PACKAGING DESIGN
for Chicago based Bigstar Tacos - West Town Location. An homage to the honky-tonk bars found through out Bakersfield, California, Big Star is Chicago’s bourbon and beer-focused, taco-slinging, honky-tonk hangout. In collaboration with The Times a Chicago based creative agency. I created specialty to-go packaging and branding for BigStar tacos.
INSPIRATION
BigStar and The Times were in search of vibrant and eye catching western themed
to-go packaging, for their west town location concept "Wild Wild West Town".
I drew inspiration from the iconic western wear, The Nudie Suit.
THE PACKAGING
Pulling inspiration from the Nudie suit - using vibrant colors, patch work, embroidery, and bold imagery. Focusing on classic western themes and BigStar brand elements.
